Keith Wong is a vocalist and composer who integrates the jazz tradition with elements from choral music and theater. Born in Hong Kong and having studied jazz vocals in the Netherlands, he brings a diverse cultural background to his compositions.

 

In 2022, Keith Wong won the Best Original Music of the Year at the Beehive Music Award from A Cappella China. After graduating from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, he received support from both the Sena Performers Music Production Funds in the Netherlands and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and released his debut album, "Intertwined," in 2024.

黃峻傑，歌手兼作曲家，融合爵士樂、合唱音樂和劇場元素於其音樂。在香港土生土⻑，於2022年畢業於荷蘭海牙皇家音樂學院爵士聲樂系，是罕有受正統爵士聲樂訓練的歌手。他將多元文化背景融入他的作品中，以歌聲和即興演奏與觀眾建立深厚的情感聯繫。

 

2022年榮獲阿卡中國蜂巢獎年度最佳原創音樂獎。翌年獲得香港藝術發展局和荷蘭Sena Performers音樂製作基金的支持，促成首張專輯《纏》，融合現代爵士、合唱和劇場元素。​​

Keith Wong is een zanger en componist die de jazztraditie integreert met elementen uit de koormuziek en theater. Geboren in Hong Kong en met een studie in jazzzang in Nederland, brengt hij een diverse culturele achtergrond in zijn composities. Hij is toegewijd aan het creëren van een diepgaande emotionele verbinding met zijn publiek door middel van zijn gepassioneerde zang en improvisatie.

Bekend om zijn creatieve schrijven, won Keith Wong de Best Original Music of the Year bij de Beehive Music Award 2022 van A Cappella China. Na zijn afstuderen aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag ontving hij steun van zowel het Sena Performers Music Production Funds in Nederland als de Hong Kong Arts Development Council en bracht hij in 2024 zijn debuutalbum “Intertwined” uit.

Keith Wong, a jazz vocalist and composer, discovered his passion for music in Hong Kong, where he was born and raised. Having graduated from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Netherlands, in 2022, he is one of the few singers from Hong Kong who received formal jazz vocal training. He brings a diverse cultural background to his music, enriching it with his choral and theatrical experiences.

 

Known for his creative writing, Keith Wong won the Best Original Music of the Year at the Beehive Music Award 2022 from A Cappella China. Fueling his artistic pursuits, Keith Wong received support from both the Sena Performers Music Production Funds in the Netherlands and the Hong Kong Art Development Council in 2023, facilitating the creation of his debut "Intertwined." Every song on the album bears his creative fingerprint, blending elements of modern jazz, choral arrangement, and theatrical essence.

 

As a vocalist, Keith Wong is committed to establishing a profound emotional connection with his audience. Through his passionate vocals and improvisation, he is a storyteller who transcends the boundaries of traditional swing music to modern jazz. Notable venues where he has been featured include Musicon in The Hague, JAZZFEST @ De Boemel in Tilburg, Podium Jong Professionals Jazz Voorschoten, and UIT Festival Den Haag in the Netherlands. In Hong Kong, he has been showcased at Lau Bak Freespace Livehouse and recently appeared on RTHK’s TV program, The Works.

 

Beyond the jazz scene, Keith Wong served as a resident artist with the award-winning a cappella theater company, Yat Po Singers, in Hong Kong from 2012 to 2018. His versatility extends to arranging music for their productions and collaborating with esteemed groups such as the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Dance Company, and studio ARCHITANZ in Tokyo. Keith Wong’s journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to pushing artistic boundaries and captivating audiences worldwide.

除了爵士樂，他在2012年至2018年為香港無伴奏合唱劇團一舖清唱駐團藝術家。曾演出該團多部原創音樂劇，至今仍亦為其作曲及編曲。曾與香港中樂團、香港舞蹈團和東京的ARCHITANZ工作室等卓越團體合作。他的音樂旅程見證了他堅定不移且無分地域地挑戰藝術界限。
